Storm Hunter is perhaps the definition of a player squeezing every last drop out of the natural ability she was handed by the sporting gods.

Her junior coach, Robert Beak, once said his first impression at the local Rockhampton tennis club was that she “wasn’t the most talented”. But Hunter, then barely in primary school, had grit and work ethic in spades.
