Carlton’s Board Blues: Craig Mathieson quits amid rift with Luke Sayers

Craig Mathieson has abruptly quit the Carlton Football Club board days after the Blues extended their losing streak to six of the last seven games.

Mr Mathieson, the nephew of club powerbroker Bruce Mathieson, was a director for over a decade. Carlton’s president and ex-PwC chief executive, Luke Sayers, said in a statement on Monday the resignation was accepted, and the club would search for a replacement.
