COVID-19 cuts $3 million hole in AOC’s pocket

COVID-19 has cut a $3 million hole in the travel budget of the Australian Olympic Committee by forcing it to cancel – for the second year running – two key fundraising events.

The national Olympic committee was eager to tap a large pool of home-bound sporting stars to appear at the Prime Minister’s Olympic Dinner on July 31 in Melbourne and the Premier’s Welcome Home dinner on August 21 in Sydney.
