German star Alex Zverev is through to the Australian Open semi-final after playing his best tennis in years, but there’s an elephant in the room that could stain the tournament’s finale.

The 26-year-old, who beat Spanish world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in a quarter-final on Wednesday night, has been accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend, Brenda Patea, against a wall and choking her at an Airbnb apartment in May 2020.
