The Salvation Army is set to disrupt the $1.1 billion funeral industry by offering cheaper plans and reinvesting money back into the community.
Salvos Funerals chief executive Malcolm Pittendrigh, who has worked for one of Australia's largest not-for-profit organisations for almost 20 years, said the model would be able to make a margin.
