The new boss of Premier Investments retail operations, Richard Murray, said inflation is a bit like Goldilocks – “you want a bit but not too much” – as the retailer walks a fine line between lifting prices to protect profits while remaining competitive.

Premier is one of Australia’s largest retailers with almost 900 stores across the nation under seven brands: Peter Alexander, Smiggle, Dotti, Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Portmans and Jacqui E.
