Former KPMG dealmaker Jon Adgemis’ efforts to keep his crumbling pub empire from falling apart have turned into a family dispute after he allegedly mortgaged a multimillion-dollar home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs he owned with his mother without her knowledge.
The fight is revealed in court documents in the NSW Supreme Court, where Adgemis’ mother is trying to keep a Rose Bay property where her daughter and grandson live as La Trobe Financial seeks to claim it as part of efforts to recoup $6.2 million Adgemis borrowed to finance his business.
