Endeavour Group ups costs for beer suppliers

Beer suppliers will be hit with a new $1.89 per carton “handling charge” by the owner of the Dan Murphy’s and BWS liquor chains, after a review of its supply chains.
Endeavour’s proposed new charge will apply from May 1 to beer suppliers that ship goods into the company’s national distribution centre at Laverton on the outskirts of Melbourne, with the products then transported to Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores around Australia.
