David Jones chief executive Scott Fyfe says Latitude Financial’s massive data breach has not changed the start date or plans for its new store credit card, which is set to launch later this year.

The upmarket department store and Latitude penned a new 10-year deal in January, with David Jones ditching its long-term partner American Express. By March, Latitude was grappling with one of the biggest data breaches in Australia, revealing this week that 7.9 million driver’s licence numbers of Australian and New Zealand customers and applicants were stolen.
