Coles chief Leah Weckert says its promotions are genuine

Coles chief executive Leah Weckert says the supermarket giant expects more families to stay home over the summer holidays as they deal with budgets that have been stretched by higher mortgages and bills.
That meant the retailer was focusing on promoting its own-brand labels, which Ms Weckert said in an interview on Thursday would be popular given they were “more affordable alternatives to other products”.
