Robert Iervasi is departing as CEO of Asahi Beverages, the largest beer business in Australia.
The group bought the former CUB business in 2020 for $16 billion, giving it ownership of Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught and Crown Lager.
Mr Iervasi expanded into adult soft drinks and coffee, acquiring StrangeLove and the Allpress coffee business.
Lockdowns and restrictions in the COVID-19 pandemic hit pubs and bars hard, where 25 per cent of beer sales are generated.
