Australia’s big business chief executives have to quickly get used to the level of personal scrutiny they receive as the very public face of their companies – for better or worse.

That may look easy enough when things are going well for customers as well as shareholders, but public attitudes are increasingly antagonistic and personally targeted when they are not.
