Chartered accountant firms have been busy across Australia, clocking up 166,372 hours in pro bono work in the past full financial year, in direct work, in-kind services and monetary donations.

The data provided by accounting firms to Fairfax Media shows pro bono work equates to 3348 partner hours and 387 hours per staff member.
