King & Wood Mallesons chief executive partner Renae Lattey still believes in gender targets – even though her firm missed a crucial marker for women partners this year.
In 2019, the firm set a 40 per cent target for 2025 and an interim target of 35 per cent for 2022, which it missed despite appointing more women to the partnership than men for the past five years – 25 of 49.
