Australia's top 15 small private accounting firms have found growth by extending their existing range of services, cutting costs and expanding clients' existing spend.
The data, revealed by an exclusive Fairfax survey sent out to accounting firms across Australia, shows that the top 15 firms whose revenue is under $100 million have thrived in the current economic climate despite Australia as a country experiencing moderate growth.

Nexia Australia chairman Ian Stone says with revenue rising in different areas of the business it was important to retain specialist staff.
