Slater and Gordon knew about fraudster’s history, lawsuit alleges

Slater and Gordon’s former chief people officer alleges the law firm was aware its payroll manager had a “criminal mind” and had tried to access internal data, but failed to act before an incendiary email detailing personal information and payroll data was sent to more than 900 staff.

The new claims are made in a lawsuit lodged by Mari Ruiz-Matthyssen, the executive whose name was attached to the now-infamous email that has upended the storied workers’ rights law firm.
