NSW Bar backs compulsory anti-harassment training
Barristers are closer to being required to undertake compulsory anti-discrimination, bullying and harassment training, after the NSW Bar Association threw its support behind the Australian Bar Association’s proposal to mandate “equality and wellbeing” training.
Consultation is due to close on Monday on the proposed amendment to the uniform barristers rules, which the ABA says, if adopted, “will go some way to addressing issues of behaviour, civility and the culture of the bar”.
