Legal grad pay tops $110k, but wage gap still stubborn

The gender pay gap among commercial lawyers remains “stubbornly and frustratingly high”, despite law firms’ efforts to promote women.

The pay disparity between lawyers with equivalent levels of experience was greatest among senior lawyers, a survey by the College of Law found. Women with more than 11 years’ experience in the legal industry earned, on average, 25 per cent less than men at the same stage in their careers.
