Law firms prep for year ahead by poaching big names from rivals
Law firms are capitalising on a soft professional services market, spending the summer picking off partners and staff for their own ranks.
This week, Clayton Utz picked up EY’s head of banking and capital markets, Doug Nixon, as the firm attempts to catch up to the advisory offerings of its rivals at MinterEllison and Ashurst, which have recruited heavily from the biggest professional services firms over the past 12 months.
