Large companies must file climate reports from 2025
Large companies have been given a six-month reprieve to 2025 to include climate-related information in their financial reports under a government plan to encourage investment in the transition to a net-zero economy.
Amendments to the Corporations Act were introduced to parliament by Treasurer Jim Chalmers last week in the first step of a proposed framework that will cover thousands of companies and organisations in coming years.
