KPMG to cut about 200 staff amid consulting work slowdown

KPMG Australia expects to cut up to 2 per cent of its 10,000-strong staff, or roughly 200 roles, due to a slowdown in the firm’s management consulting business caused by increasingly cost-conscious clients.
The firm, which increased its staff headcount by more than 2000 last year, will begin a business-wide review to determine the exact number and roles that will be targeted.
