KPMG Australia has appointed 67 new partners, mostly in the firm’s consulting and middle-market division, partially offsetting the exit of almost 90 partners during the past year.
The appointments mean that KPMG’s local partnership is projected to be 657-strong as of July 1, down from 676 a year earlier. The 13 per cent partner turnover is slightly below that of rival Deloitte Australia, highlighting the extent of the ongoing downturn in the advisory market for the big four consulting firms.
