Gayathiri “Gee” Balachandra made three calls when she was told last month that she had been made partner at Deloitte.

“One call was to Mum and Dad, who were looking after my one-year-old, Zara,” she said. “We did a video call. Mum and Dad were emotional, Zara was just happy to see me. Then I called my husband and then my brother.”
