HWL Ebsworth has paid a former partner almost $30,000 to settle her underpayments claim amid a heightened appetite among lawyers to push for their full entitlements.

Sian Gilbert, who left HWL’s workplace relations team in January, alleged that managing partner Juan Martinez short-changed her almost $30,000 in pay and benefits.
