Union goes to war over BHP labour hire

The Big Australian's in-house contractor labelled a 'dodgy, deceptive con job' by CFMEU.

The mining union has finally launched a public fightback against BHP and the novel in-house labour hire firms that have so far seeded select teams of production and maintenance workers at eight of the resources champion’s Australian mining hubs.

The CFMEU’s television, print and social media campaign, which opened last week, condemns the Big Australian’s new contract employment model as a “cheap move” that creates two classes of BHP workers.
