Executive exits at Fortescue ‘part of the plan’: Forrest

Davos, Switzerland | Fortescue boss Andrew Forrest has dismissed suggestions that a recent spate of executive departures signals any dysfunction or disarray in his C-suite, describing it as “fake news”.

Of the 11 Fortescue Mining Group executives listed in the 2021 annual report, seven have exited, or are exiting, the company; and another two have stepped sideways into new roles. Fortescue Future Industries’ chief financial officer Guy Debelle has also left.
