Andrew Forrest’s Wyloo Metals has backed local manufacturing of batteries vital in the electrification of the global economy and IGO boss Peter Bradford says there are plenty of reasons why it would make sense.

IGO is weighing up whether to build a nickel sulphate plant as part of a joint venture with Wyloo Metals, a move that would have implications for BHP’s plans for nickel and for the West Musgrave project in WA owned by OZ Minerals.
