Lithium is not scarce and the world's demand will be easily supplied by a small number of large Australian lithium mines, according to mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland.
Promoting the Sunrise nickel, cobalt and scandium project in New South Wales during a rare visit to Australia, Mr Friedland said cobalt and nickel had bigger roles to play in the battery boom, and were rarer than lithium.
