Canberra backs green premium for failing Australian nickel miners

Resources Minister Madeleine King has backed the case for a pricing structure that distinguishes between nickel produced to high environmental, social and governance standards in Australia and so-called dirty nickel produced in Indonesia.
The government support for an ESG price premium comes with the Australian nickel industry in turmoil, and with more than a thousand jobs at risk.
