The former mistress of Ben Roberts-Smith threatened to sue Nine and investigative reporter Nick McKenzie, who denies he received privileged information relating to the disgraced soldier’s defamation action.
McKenzie faced intense questioning over two days in the Full Federal Court, but it was not until Friday afternoon that he was asked about an 85-second secret recording that Roberts-Smith is hoping will help him reopen the appeal of his defamation case.
