Radio set to revolutionise its outdated ratings system
Australia’s radio industry is set for a revolution as its metropolitan ratings system prepares to transition from paper surveys to e-diaries and purpose-built smart watches.
The move to an electronic system, which has been in the works since 2019 following a pilot of potential new measurement methods, will bring the radio industry in line with television and news media, which use different electronic systems to assess how many people are watching or reading particular content.
