Parents will be able to monitor who their teenage children are messaging on Instagram and block them from using the app at certain times using new controls introduced by Facebook’s parent company Meta in response to mounting global pressure.
Instagram will roll out “Teen Accounts” in the next two months, adding heavy restrictions for people under 16, who will need an adult’s permission to change the default settings.
