A string a major line-up changes is aimed at opening up Nine Radio to new audiences and new advertisers to boost the division's profitability, managing director of radio Tom Malone says.

Mr Malone, previously Nine's head of sport, took the reins at Nine Radio, formerly known as Macquarie Media until it was rebranded in January, in November.
