Sam Buckingham-Jones

News Corp, Telstra and global sports streaming company DAZN are poised to announce that Foxtel is under new ownership, with DAZN chief executive Shay Segev flying into Australia to sign off on the $3.4 billion deal.

The closing of the transaction means one of Australia’s biggest media companies, which owns a pay TV business, streaming platforms Kayo Sports and Binge, and TV operating system Hubbl, will be ultimately controlled by Ukrainian-British billionaire Len Blavatnik.
