Former Liberal Party staffer Bruce Lehrmann has settled his defamation case against News Corp Australia and its political journalist Samantha Maiden, but will press ahead against broadcasters ABC and Ten, and the latter’s high-profile host Lisa Wilkinson.
Mr Lehrmann had accused Ms Maiden and news.com.au of defaming him in two articles detailing allegations made by Brittany Higgins that she was raped in Parliament House in March 2019. He has always denied the accusations.
