Logistics gets legs after COVID-19

Logistics companies have not been immune from the economic slump caused by the coronavirus but are seizing the moment to become more efficient.

Like other industries, the logistics sector has done it tough during the COVID-19 outbreak. Despite the boom in online shopping, the frenzy of internet clicking has not been strong enough to compensate for a slump in consumer spending.

Retail sales tumbled almost 18 per cent in April, slashing the amount of clothing and electronic goods moved in and out of Australia, with numbers of imported containers dropping 10 per cent nationally in April.
