John Holland’s Chinese links won’t stop it from bidding for billions of dollars of electricity transmission projects as it tries to snare a share of the boom in renewable energy infrastructure, chief executive Joe Barr said.

John Holland, which has traditionally specialised in rail projects and also constructs buildings and motorways, has been owned by the China Communications Construction Company since the end of 2014.
