John Holland takes ‘significant’ write-down on West Gate Tunnel

John Holland’s annual income has been hit by a “significant” write-down on Melbourne’s West Gate Tunnel, but the contractor still managed to end 2021 with a net profit of $29.2 million following two years of group losses.

John Holland did not break out the extent of write-downs related to work on the troubled Melbourne toll road, which it is building with joint venture partner Cimic for Transurban.
