France’s Systra eyes Australian rail acquisitions

French engineering group Systra is looking for acquisitions in Australia with the aim of quadrupling staff numbers as it prepares to bid for big projects including a potential east coast fast rail link, says global chief executive Pierre Verzat.

“We want to continue to grow in Australia, including through acquisition,” Mr Verzat told The Australian Financial Review. “We are currently reviewing opportunities.”
