Decmil chased by Southern Cross for $11m in claims

Perth-based engineering group Decmil is being pursued by a sub-contractor for full payment of $11 million in financial claims as its new chief executive tries to complete an equity raising and stabilise the troubled company.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering said on Thursday that it would go ahead with arbitration after not being awarded the sum it had claimed for work done on Rio Tinto's Amrun mine project in Queensland.
