Andrew Liveris, president of the Brisbane Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, said the “buck would stop with him” when it came to ensuring key infrastructure projects for the 2032 Games were delivered on time and on budget.

As the organising committee on Wednesday opened tenders for companies to deliver the “brand” for the 2032 Games, the former Dow Chemicals chairman said he wanted the legacy of the world’s biggest sporting event to set up south-east Queensland for decades.
