Childcare giant whacks parents with double-digit fee rises

Childcare giant G8 is pushing through another fee rise, meaning parents have been slugged with double-digit percentage hikes since January last year following a trifecta of price increases.

Gold Coast-based G8, which has more than 440 centres under brands including Casa Bambini and Pelican Childcare, argued the latest average price rise of 6 per cent was needed because of higher labour costs and rising operating expenses such as electricity or rent.
