The Heart Research Institute is facing allegations it pushed out its former head of cardiovascular research because he raised concerns about underpayment of funds to his lab from the charity as well as conduct of board members.
Shaun Jackson, whose team at the institute helped develop revolutionary anti-clotting drugs to help stroke victims, claims the dispute began after he was ousted from his role as scientific director in favour of Andrew Coates in 2022.
