Genomics group myDNA snaps up Sam Wood’s fitness program in $71m deal

Melbourne-founded genomics company myDNA, backed by healthcare entrepreneur Dennis Bastas, has snapped up exercise and nutrition program 28 by Sam Wood in a $US50 million ($71.2 million) deal.

Mr Bastas is chairman and 20 per cent shareholder in myDNA Inc, which is seeking to empower consumers to unlock the data in their DNA to personalise everyday health decisions, such as how a person’s genes affect the way the body responds to food.
