The challenge to get Australia vaccinated and reopen the borders has become personal for CSL chief Paul Perreault.

As well as being in charge of local production for the troubled AstraZeneca vaccine, Perreault has been marooned away from the Melbourne headquarters of the biotech giant at his home in Park City, Utah, since the pandemic began.
