Australia’s vaping problem (and the $234m plan to fix it)
The Australian government says it will spend $234 million to stamp out non-prescription vaping in a bid to prevent a new generation of nicotine addicts, including smokers.
The crackdown measures, which will be outlined in next Tuesday’s budget, will include a ban on the sale of all vapes (without a prescription), which means vendors such as tobacconists, convenience stores and petrol stations will no longer be allowed to stock them.
