Tabcorp chairman Bruce Akhurst quits before he is pushed

Tabcorp chairman Bruce Akhurst will step down from leading the board of the ASX-listed wagering giant after major investors expressed concern about the company’s weak performance and rising costs.
Mr Akhurst, who became chairman following the company’s demerger with The Lottery Corporation in 2022, will be replaced by fellow director Brett Chenoweth, who also chairs RetireAustralia and Canberra Data Centres.
