Like John Howard, Shane Stone, the ex-Country Liberal Party chief minister of the Northern Territory, is no bleeding heart. But Stone has now joined the former prime minister’s call for political leaders to introduce stricter measures to curb the harms poker machines are inflicting on indigenous communities.
