Billionaire Laurence Escalante’s Virtual Gaming Worlds has appointed a veteran gambling executive as its new chief financial officer as it attempts to outmanoeuvre a casino lobbying effort to regulate the profits of sweepstakes operators.
Former Tabcorp and Aristocrat executive Angus Tiet started at the company in early November. Mr Tiet formerly worked as a chief strategy and ventures officer at Tabcorp, and the social casino division of Aristocrat. He replaces Guy Wylie who was appointed CFO in November 2023.
