James Packer won’t object to share sell down, but questions timeline

James Packer says he will comply with a royal commission edict to shed most of his 37 per cent shareholding in Crown Resorts – an offload worth about $2.4 billion – but he wants more time to complete the sell down.

The Victorian royal commission recommended Mr Packer sell down his stake Crown to less than 5 per cent within three years, but the billionaire businessman would like five years to complete the process.
